CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM(for 8AR-FTS, 2GR-FKS), Diagnostic DTC:P160700

DTC Code DTC Name
P160700 Cruise Control Input Processor

DESCRIPTION

When the ECM determines that there is a malfunction, the ECM illuminates the MIL and stores a DTC.

Tech Tips

When this DTC is stored, the ECM cuts off the current supplied to the throttle motor so that the throttle valve returns to the predetermined opening amount by the return spring.

Tech Tips

Read freeze frame data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as freeze frame data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can be helpful in determining whether the vehicle was moving or stationary, whether the engine was warmed up or not, whether the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, as well as other data recorded at the time of a malfunction.
