COOLING FAN MOTOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK COOLING FAN MOTOR LH

      Component without harness connected

      (Cooling Fan Motor LH)

      Disconnect the cooling fan motor LH connector.

    2. Check that the cooling fan motor LH operates smoothly when the battery is connected to the cooling fan motor LH connector.

    3. B00750HC01
      *a Code Mark

      Check the code mark on the cooling fan motor LH.

    4. Measure the current while the cooling fan motor LH is operating.

      Standard Current
      Code Mark Condition Specified Condition
      S Battery voltage applied at 20°C (68°F) 10.7 to 17.0 A
      M 12.7 to 20.8 A

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan motor LH.

    5. Connect the cooling fan motor LH connector.

  2. CHECK COOLING FAN MOTOR RH


    1. Disconnect the cooling fan motor RH connector.

      Component without harness connected

      (Cooling Fan Motor RH)

      Check that the cooling fan motor RH operates smoothly when the battery is connected to the cooling fan motor RH connector.

    3. Measure the current while the cooling fan motor RH is operating.

      Standard Current
      Motor Type Condition Specified Condition
      for 100 W Type Battery voltage applied at 20°C (68°F) 6.6 to 10.7 A
      for 200 W Type 12.7 to 20.8 A

      If the result is not as specified, replace the cooling fan motor RH.

    4. Connect the cooling fan motor RH connector.
