COOLING FAN MOTOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 2 cooling fan motor with the 3 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

      2. Engage the clamp.

      3. Connect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 300 W + 300 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 2 cooling fan motor with the 5 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL COOLING FAN MOTOR

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the cooling fan motor with the 3 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

      2. Engage the clamp.

      3. Connect the cooling fan motor connector.

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 300 W + 300 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the cooling fan motor with the 5 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL NO. 2 FAN

   Note

   Do not reverse the position of the fan and No. 2 fan when installing them. Doing so may damage the parts.

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 2 fan with the nut.

         Torque:

         6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 300 W + 300 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the No. 2 fan with the 3 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

4. INSTALL FAN

   Note

   Do not reverse the position of the fan and No. 2 fan when installing them. Doing so may damage the parts.

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the fan with the nut.

         Torque:

         6.3 N*m  { 64 kgf*cm, 56 in.*lbf }

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 300 W + 300 W Type:

      
      

      1. Install the fan with the 3 screws.

         Torque:

         3.9 N*m  { 40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

5. INSTALL COOLING FAN WIRE

   
   

   1. for Cooling Fan Motor 240 W + 240 W Type:

      
      

      1. Connect the cooling fan wire connector.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps to install the cooling fan wire.

   2. for Cooling Fan Motor 300 W + 300 W Type:

      
      
      1. 

         *a	Lock Lever

         Connect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector and push down the lock lever to engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

         Note

         
         

         • When connecting the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector, make sure that the connecting parts of the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector are free of dirt, water or other foreign matter.

         • Be sure to securely connect the No. 2 cooling fan motor connector.

      2. Engage the 2 clamps to install the cooling fan wire.

6. INSTALL FAN SHROUD ASSEMBLY

7. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the fan shroud assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:

      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

   2. Install a new radiator hose clamp to the fan shroud assembly.

   3. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose sub-assembly to the radiator hose clamp.

8. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

9. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

10. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

11. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

    Click here

12. INSTALL INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER

    Click here

13. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

14. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

16. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

17. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
