THERMOSTAT(for Cylinder Block) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT (for Cylinder Block)


    1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat (for Cylinder Block).

    2. B00731T

      Install the thermostat (for Cylinder Block) to the cylinder block sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL WATER INLET HOUSING


    1. Install 3 new gaskets to the water inlet housing.

    2. Install the water inlet housing to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 4 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS PIPE


    1. Install a new gasket to the water inlet housing.

    2. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe to the water inlet housing with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass pipe to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the No. 4 water by-pass pipe and slide the clip to secure it.

  4. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the water inlet housing.

    2. Connect the water by-pass pipe assembly to the water inlet housing with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the water inlet.

    4. Connect the oil pressure switching valve assembly connector.

    5. Connect the water by-pass pipe assembly to the cylinder block sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    6. Connect the No. 5 water by-pass hose to the water by-pass pipe assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  5. INSTALL NO. 3 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR


    1. Install the No. 3 exhaust manifold heat insulator with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 1 compressor mounting bracket with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY WITH PULLEY
