INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE (AIR BY-PASS VALVE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) connector.

      (Intake Air Control Valve (Air By-pass Valve Assembly))

      Apply battery voltage between the terminals, and check that the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) makes an operating sound.

      Standard
      The intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) makes an operating sound.

      Note


      • Do not operate the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) for more than 10 seconds.

      • Make sure to switch the voltage on and off at the battery side.

      If the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) does not make an operating sound, replace the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly).

    3. Connect the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) connector.
