EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR

   Click here

2. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE

   Click here

3. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER (w/ No. 2 Engine Under Cover)

   Click here

4. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER LH (for Full Cover Type)

   Click here

5. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER RH (for Full Cover Type)

   Click here

6. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE

   Click here

7. DISCONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR

   Click here

8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (TWC: Rear Catalyst)

   Click here

9. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *A	for 2WD
      *B	for AWD

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 exhaust pipe support bracket sub-assembly.

10. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

    
    
    1. 

       *A	for 2WD
       *B	for 4WD

       Remove the engine oil level dipstick.

    2. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide from the cylinder block.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the No. 2 engine oil level dipstick guide.

11. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (TWC: Front Catalyst)

    
    

    1. 

       Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 4 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

    2. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (TWC: Front Catalyst)

    
    

    1. 

       Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 5 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

    2. Remove the gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

13. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

    
    
    1. 

       *a	Exhaust Manifold Sub-assembly LH
       *b	Exhaust Manifold Sub-assembly RH

       Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH (TWC: Front Catalyst).

    2. Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 exhaust manifold heat insulator from the exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH (TWC: Front Catalyst).
