FUEL RELIEF VALVE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FUEL RELIEF VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install a new gasket to the fuel relief valve assembly.

    2. B0074JXC01
      *a 17 mm Union Nut Wrench
      *b Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 17 mm union nut wrench, install the fuel relief valve assembly to the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      Specified tightening torque
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Do not apply oil to the threads of the fuel relief valve assembly or No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

      • Do not allow foreign matter to enter the No. 2 fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly during installation.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a 17 mm union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 180 mm (7.09 in.)): 34 N*m (347 kgf*cm, 25 ft.*lbf)
