ENGINE UNIT REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

      Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH.

  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET

      Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 compressor mounting bracket.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

  10. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE


    1. Remove the engine wire from the engine assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the water outlet and cylinder head sub-assembly.

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass hose.

  13. REMOVE NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 3 water by-pass hose.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY


    1. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass hose assembly.

    2. Disengage the 3 clamps.

  15. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the 2 clips and remove the water by-pass hose.

  16. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE (w/ Oil Cooler)

      Slide the 4 clips and disconnect the 4 water by-pass hoses.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and No. 1 water by-pass pipe.

  17. REMOVE WATER INLET CAP (w/o Oil Cooler)

      Slide the clip and remove the water inlet cap.

  18. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and remove the No. 2 water by-pass pipe.

  19. REMOVE NO. 10 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the clip and remove the No. 10 water by-pass hose from the rear water by-pass joint.

  20. REMOVE NO. 11 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the clip and remove the No. 11 water by-pass hose from the No. 1 water outlet pipe.

  21. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    B0077LI V-bank Cover Bracket - -

    1. Remove the V-bank cover bracket (A) and wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. Remove the V-bank cover bracket (B).

    3. Remove the 14 bolts and 14 wire harness clamp brackets.

    4. w/o Oil Cooler:


      1. Remove the nut and wire harness clamp bracket.

      2. Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

  22. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

  23. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  24. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection)

    Click here

  25. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    Click here

  26. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  27. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY

  28. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  29. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH

  30. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE RH

    Click here

  31. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Direct Injection)

    Click here

  32. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR SEAL

    Click here

  33. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

  34. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  35. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
