IGNITION COIL AND SPARK PLUG INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SPARK PLUG

    Tech Tips

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing a spark plug. (w/ Canister Pump Module)

    1. Install the 6 spark plugs to the cylinder head sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If a spark plug has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

  2. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly. (w/ Canister Pump Module)

    1. Install the 6 ignition coil assemblies to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      If an ignition coil assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips

      Install the same parts to their original positions.

    2. Connect the 6 ignition coil assembly connectors.

  3. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS


    1. B0074QKN01

      Install the 2 wire harness clamp brackets to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      Bolt (A)
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
      Bolt (B)
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the wire harness clamp to the intake air surge tank assembly.

    3. Install the wire harness to the cylinder head cover sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

    Click here

  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER

    Click here

  7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (w/ Canister Pump Module)


    1. Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing an ignition coil assembly and spark plug.
