DESCRIPTION

The stereo component equalizer assembly adjusts dynamic engine sound volume based on the signal sent by the vehicle sound switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

    5. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    6. Check for DTCs.

    7. Turn the engine switch off.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / ASC / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE - VEHICLE SOUND SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the O36 vehicle sound switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE SOUND SWITCH - STEREO COMPONENT EQUALIZER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the O35 stereo component equalizer assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
