NAME PLATE REMOVAL

Tech Tips

When removing the emblem, rear body name plate and back door name plate, heat the vehicle body, emblem, rear body name plate and back door name plate using a heat light.

Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
Back Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
Rear Body Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Note

Do not heat the vehicle body, emblem, rear body name plate and back door name plate excessively.


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    1. Put protective tape around the emblem.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the emblem.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR NAME PLATE

    1. Put protective tape around the back door name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and back door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the back door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the back door name plate.

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 BODY NAME PLATE

    1. Put protective tape around the rear body name plate.

    2. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and rear body name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the rear body name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the rear body name plate.
