RELAY (for Magnet Clutch Control) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH


    1. Remove the 7 clips and engine room side cover LH.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH RELAY

    A01ER3E

    1. Remove the magnet clutch relay from the engine room relay block.

  4. INSPECT MAGNET CLUTCH RELAY

    A01ENSNE97

    1. Measure the resistance of the magnet clutch relay.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      • If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

  5. INSTALL MAGNET CLUTCH RELAY

    A01ER3E

    1. Install the magnet clutch relay to the engine room relay block.

  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  7. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH


    1. Install the engine room side cover LH with the 7 clips.
