FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER (w/ Seat Heater System) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Set the front seat cushion heater assembly LH with the name stamp side facing the front separate type seat cushion cover.

    2. w/o Climate Control Seat System:

      Install the front seat cushion heater assembly LH to the front separate type seat cushion cover with new tack pins.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Install the front seat cushion heater assembly LH to the front separate type seat cushion cover with new tack pins.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER

    *1 Hog Ring Pliers

    1. Using hog ring pliers, install the front separate type seat cushion cover to the front separate type seat cushion pad with new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the cover.

      • When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.

  3. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Set the seat cushion cover with pad in place.

    2. for Driver Side:

        Using hog ring pliers, install the front part of the seat cushion cover with pad with new hog rings.

        Attach the front part of the front separate type seat cushion cover hooks.

      3. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. A01ESIS

        Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.

      2. Bend the 2 seat frame claws downward.

      3. A01EPJD

        Attach the 2 clamps to connect the connector holder.

      4. Connect the connector.

    4. w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01EMXM

        Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

      2. A01ENR5

        Connect the connector and attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    5. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01EQI6

        Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 4 wire harness clamps.

      2. A01EQFM

        Attach the wire harness clamp.

    6. A01ES22

      Install the 2 clips.

  4. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

    1. Install the front power seat switch LH with the 3 screws.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  5. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Install the front power seat switch RH with the 3 screws.

    2. Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the 2 claws and clip to install the front inner seat cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the front seat inner belt assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not allow the anchor part of the front seat inner belt assembly to overlap the protruding part of the front seat adjuster.

    2. Connect the 3 connectors and attach the clamps.

  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield LH together with the front inner No. 1 cushion shield LH.

    4. Install the 3 screws.

    5. A01EQ2T

      Connect the connector.

    6. A01ENHA

      Install the 2 screws.

    7. Connect the 2 rubber band.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Connect the connector.

    2. A01EOZD

      Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat cushion shield RH together with the front inner No. 1 cushion shield RH.

    3. Install the 3 screws.

    4. A01EO2Y

      Connect the connector.

    5. A01ES9A

      Install the 2 screws.

    6. Connect the 2 rubber band.

  10. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  11. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
