REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Automatic Folding-up Function) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL FOLD SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Attach the claw to install the light.

    2. Connect the connector.

    3. A01ENO7

      Attach the 6 clips to install the fold seat switch.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEAT LOCK STRIKER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01ERNQ

      Install the 4 seat lock strikers with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    2. Return the floor carpet to its original position.

  3. INSTALL NO. 3 SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A01EPZG

      Attach the 16 claws and 4 clips to install the 4 seat cushion covers.

  4. INSTALL FOLD SEAT LEG LOCK SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01ENZH

      Install the fold seat leg lock with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01ENXF

      Attach the 2 cable clamps.

    3. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 WOOFER BOX SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side, w/ Woofer)


    1. Install the box speaker with the 5 bolts.

    2. A01ENTM

      Connect the connector.

  6. INSTALL REAR ROOF NO. 1 AIR DUCT (for LH Side)

    1. Install the duct with the clip.

    2. A01ENOM

      Attach the 2 claws to install the cooler plate.

  7. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    When installing the front quarter trim panel, operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the No. 1 rear seat to the position shown in the illustration.


    1. Connect the thermistor connector.

    2. Attach the 19 clips and 2 claws to install the quarter trim panel.

    3. Install the clip.

      Install the rear No. 2 seat belt anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding parts of the vehicle body.

    5. A01EOE1

      Install the rear No. 1 seat belt anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    6. A01ESN6

      Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

  8. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE

    1. Attach the 6 clips and 4 claws to install the support plate.

  9. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

    1. w/o Illumination Type Front Door Scuff Plate:


      1. Attach the 3 claws and 4 clips to install the scuff plate.

      2. Install the screw.

      w/ Illumination Type Front Door Scuff Plate:


      1. Attach the 3 claws and 4 clips to install the scuff plate.

      2. Install the screw.

  10. INSTALL REAR STEP COVER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure to install the step cover on the other side.

      w/o Illumination Type Front Door Scuff Plate:

      Attach the 2 claws to install the step cover.

    2. A01EQ94

      w/ Illumination Type Front Door Scuff Plate:

      Attach the 4 claws to install the step cover.

  11. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

    1. Temporarily install the seat with the 4 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the connector.

  12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  13. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT HINGE COVER LH

    1. Attach the 3 claws and 2 clips to install the cover.

  14. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER LH

      Attach the 3 claws to install the cover.

    2. Return the seat to the upright position.
