FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.

    2. A01EQL7

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the outer seat track bracket cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. A01EQSQ

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the inner seat track bracket cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

    2. A01EPC4

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front outer track bracket cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH


    1. A01EOL3

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the front inner seat track bracket cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disable the Autoaway/Return function by changing the customize parameter Click here.

      Note

      Record the current customize parameter setting (whether the Autoaway/Return function is enabled or disabled) in order to restore the current setting after finishing the operation.

      Tech Tips

      Performing the above operation causes the Autoaway/Return function to be disabled when the engine switch is turned off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG). Operate the tilt and telescopic switch to fully retract and tilt up the steering column assembly.

    3. Turn the engine switch off.

    4. A01ESLM

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    5. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) to move the front seat assembly LH to the foremost position.

    6. A01ERKR

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    7. Operate the power seat switch (slide switch) and move the front seat assembly LH to the center position, operate the power seat switch (reclining switch) and move the seatback to the upright position, and operate the power seat switch (lifter switch) and move the seat to the uppermost position.

    8. A01EOFU

      for Driver Side:

      Operate the seat variable cushion switch to move the seat cushion to the open position.

    9. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    10. Disconnect the connectors under the seat.

    11. Remove the front seat assembly LH from the vehicle.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
