FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Apply protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. A01EPVL

      Remove the 3 screws.

    5. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion shield LH together with the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield LH.

    6. A01EN8S

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    7. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. A01EOZD

      Remove the 3 screws.

    5. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion shield RH together with the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield RH.

    6. A01EOKG

      Disconnect the connector.

  5. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and guide, and then remove the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield LH from the front seat cushion shield LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield RH from the front seat cushion shield RH.

  7. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH

    1. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar switch from the front seat cushion shield LH.

  8. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (for Driver Side)

    1. Remove the 2 screws and seat variable cushion switch from the front seat cushion shield LH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the clamps.

    2. A01EPCP

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.

    3. Remove the front seat belt anchor plate.

  10. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and clip, and then remove the front inner seat cushion shield LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and front power seat switch LH.

  12. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and front power seat switch RH.

  13. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

    2. w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01ENR5

        Disconnect the connector and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

      2. A01EMXM

        Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. A01EQI6

        Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 4 wire harness clamps.

      2. A01EQFM

        Detach the wire harness clamp.

    4. for Driver Side:


      1. Detach the hooks.

        Detach the front part of the front separate type seat cushion cover hooks.

        Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover with pad.

      for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the connector holder.

      3. A01ESIS

        Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.

      4. Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the hog rings and front separate type seat cushion cover from the front separate type seat cushion pad.

  15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

      w/o Climate Control Seat System:

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH from the front separate type seat cushion cover.

    2. A01EP5O

      w/ Climate Control Seat System:

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH from the front separate type seat cushion cover.

  16. REMOVE TELEVISION BASE (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Put protective tape around the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.

    2. Using a moulding remover A, detach the 3 claws and 3 guides and remove the television base.

  17. REMOVE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)


    1. A01EOY5

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and television display assembly.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Move the front seatback board sub-assembly LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 hooks and remove it.

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the light.

  20. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System, for Seatback)

    1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the seat climate control blower LH.

    2. Detach the 4 hooks and remove the seat climate control controller LH.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

    1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  22. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

    3. Detach the hooks and remove the seatback cover with pad.

      Pass the seatback cover bracket through the hole of the front separate type seatback pad.

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seatback heater assembly LH from the front separate type seatback cover.

      Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seatback heater assembly LH from the front separate type seatback cover.

  25. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PROTECTOR

    1. Remove the front seatback protector.

    2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape.

  26. REMOVE NO. 2 TELEVISION BASE (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

      Using a clip remover, remove the 11 clips.

      Remove the 4 screws.

    3. Detach the 2 guides and remove the No. 2 television base.

  27. REMOVE OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the outside reclining adjuster cover LH.

  28. REMOVE OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH


    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the outside reclining adjuster cover RH.

  29. REMOVE INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH

    1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the claw and remove the inside reclining adjuster cover LH.

  30. REMOVE INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH


    1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the claw and remove the inside reclining adjuster cover RH.

  31. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the cable clamp and disconnect the active headrest cable from the seatback spring.

    2. Remove the 4 springs.

    3. Detach the 4 hooks and remove the seatback spring.

    5. Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.

    6. A01EQVA

      Detach the 3 claws and remove the bush.

  32. REMOVE LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

      Remove the nut and detach clamp, and then disconnect the active headrest cable from the upper active headrest unit.

    2. A01EO17

      Remove the 2 nuts and lower active headrest unit.

  33. REMOVE UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT

      Remove the 4 nuts and upper active headrest unit.

  34. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook and remove the lower seat cushion shield LH.

  35. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook and remove the lower seat cushion shield RH.

  36. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

      1. Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    2. A01ES2Y

      w/ Climate Control Seat System


      1. Detach the 4 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    3. A01ENZZ

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly LH.

      CAUTION:

      Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

  37. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

  38. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat climate control ECU.

  39. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (for Driver Side)


    1. A01ERNM

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw and seat position sensor with sensor protector.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. A01EMX7E04

      Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.

  40. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System, for Seat Cushion)

    1. Detach the 4 claws and disconnect the seat climate control blower LH.

    2. A01EO6V

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the 2 screws and seat climate control controller LH.

  41. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. A01ERF5

      Disconnect the connector and remove the 2 bolts.

    2. A01ERZK

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. Remove the nut and seat climate control blower LH.

  42. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR FILTER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Rotate the No. 1 air filter counterclockwise to detach the claws, and then remove it.

  43. REMOVE SEAT FRAME SET BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

    1. Detach the 4 hooks and remove the seat frame set bracket.

  44. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH


    1. Disconnect the connectors and detach the wire harness clamps.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the front seat wire LH.
