ROOM LIGHT (for Front) ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (ROOM LIGHT)


    1. Remove the map light with the connector connected.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      R7-3 (RLSW) - R7-16 (GND9) Rear spot light RH switch off Below 1 V
      Rear spot light RH switch on 11 to 14 V
      R7-4 (RRSW) - R7-16 (GND9) Rear spot light LH switch off Below 1 V
      Rear spot light LH switch on 11 to 14 V
      R12-18 (RILL) - R7-17 (GND9) Rear dome light off 11 to 14 V
      Rear dome light on Below 1 V
      R7-11 (ILLB) - R7-16 (GND9) Always 11 to 14 V
      R7-6 (+B) - R7-16 (GND9) Always 11 to 14 V
      R7-27 (DOME) - R7-16 (GND9) Always 11 to 14 V
      R12-7 (RLMP) - R7-16 (GND9) Always 11 to 14 V
      R12-8 (RRMP) - R7-16 (GND9) Always 11 to 14 V
      R12-11 (ILL+) - R7-16 (GND9) Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      R12-13 (ILL-) - R7-16 (GND9) Headlight dimmer switch off Below 1 V
      Headlight dimmer switch TAIL 11 to 14 V
      R12-14 (RRVT) - R7-16 (GND9) Back door closed Below 1 V
      Back door open 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R7-16 (GND9) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the map light.
