DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Card Type)


    1. A01ENXD

      Push in and install the transmitter battery (lithium battery (CR2412)) while being careful of the following: 1) the positive (+) and negative (- ) terminals of the battery; and 2) being sure to insert the battery between the 2 terminals and deep into the card, in the direction of the arrow.

      Note


      • When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

      • Insert the battery so that its positive (+) side is facing the LEXUS mark.

      • Do not deform the terminals.

      • If the terminals are dirty, wipe the terminals with a soft cloth before installing the battery.

      Tech Tips

      Check if the card terminals are damaged or if the card interior has foreign matter.

    2. A01EOUC

      Install the transmitter housing cover so that it clips onto the case.

      Note


      • When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

      • Push on the transmitter cover until its attachment hooks attach securely.

      • When the transmitter cover is removed and installed many times, be careful as the cover may become loose.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type B)


    1. A01EO5D

      Install a battery (lithium battery: CR1632) with the positive (+) side facing upward as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

      • Do not bend the electrodes while installing the battery.

      • Keep the interior of the transmitter case free of dust, water and oil.

    2. A01EPEO

      Install new O-ring and the transmitter battery housing cover with the 4 screws.

      Note

      When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

    3. A01ES5I

      Install the transmitter housing cover as shown in the illustration.

    4. A01ERBS

      Insert the mechanical key into the transmitter.

    5. Press one of the transmitter switches and check that the LED illuminates.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type A, w/ Battery Cover)


    1. A01EQ4B

      Install the battery (lithium battery: CR1632) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

      • When inserting the transmitter battery, do not bend the terminal.

      • Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.

    2. Install a new O-ring.

    3. A01EPGM

      Install the battery cover with the 4 screws.

      When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

    4. A01ENW4

      Attach the claw to install the slide cover.

    5. Insert the mechanical key into the transmitter.

    6. Press one of the transmitter switches and check that the LED illuminates.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Type A)


    1. A01EQP7

      Install the battery (lithium battery: CR1632) with the positive (+) side facing upward, as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.

      • Do not bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.

      • Keep the transmitter cover interior free of dust and oil.

    2. A01ENTY

      Install the transmitter housing cover by pressing down on it as shown in the illustration.

    3. Insert the mechanical key into the transmitter.

    4. Press one of the transmitter switches and check that the LED illuminates.
