LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the Back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly turns on, the ON signal is input into the parking assist ECU*1 or clearance warning ECU assembly*2.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly Click here.

  2. INSPECT BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly Click here.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH - PARKING ASSIST ECU AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the E97 back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F75 parking assist ECU connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E97-6 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      E97-6 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E97-5 (ECU) - F75-25 (CSSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      E97-5 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the E97 back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F12 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E97-6 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      E97-6 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E97-5 (ECU) - F12-12 (CSSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      E97-5 (ECU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
