PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (w/ Cool Box)


    1. Remove the 7 clips and engine room side cover LH.

  2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH (w/ Cool Box)


    1. Remove the 7 clips and engine room side cover RH.

  3. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL (w/ Cool Box)

      Remove the 3 clips and upper radiator support seal.

  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Cool Box)


    1. Start the engine.

    2. Turn the A/C switch on.

    3. Operate the cooler compressor while the engine speed is approximately 1000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.

    4. Stop the engine.

    5. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Cool Box)


    1. Remove the front seat assembly LH Click here.

  6. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Cool Box)


    1. Remove the rear console box sub-assembly Click here.

  7. REMOVE COOLING BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Cool Box)


    1. Remove the cooling box assembly Click here.

  8. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Release the parking brake lever.

    2. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

      Remove the adjusting nut.

      Remove the parking brake return spring.

    5. Disconnect the No. 2 parking brake cable and No. 3 parking brake cable from the No. 1 parking brake pull rod.

    6. Remove the No. 1 parking brake pull rod, bush and compression spring from the parking brake lever.

    7. Remove the straight pin from the parking brake lever.

      Remove the 4 bolts and parking brake lever.

  9. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the screw and parking brake switch.
