LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Fog Light does not Illuminate

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives a rear fog light switch information signal from the light control switch (rear fog switch), and illuminates the rear fog lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

      Main Body

      Rear Fog Light SW Rear fog light switch signal/ON or OFF

      ON: Rear fog light switch on

      OFF: Rear fog light switch off

      When the headlight dimmer switch operation is performed, the result will be the same as above.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.

  3. INSPECT HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH

      1. Remove the headlight dimmer switch Click here.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        2 (B) - 3 (LFG) Headlight dimmer switch (Rear fog light switch) on Below 1 Ω
        Headlight dimmer switch (Rear fog light switch) off 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RHD:


      1. Remove the headlight dimmer switch Click here.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the E2 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      E14-3 (LFG) - Body ground
      E14-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the O5 and O6 light connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
