INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List Click here.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU)

      for LHD:


      1. Disconnect the I18 ECU connector.

      2. Disconnect the I36 mirror connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        I18-17 (LP) - I36-18 (MLP) Always Below 1 Ω
        I18-17 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the I32 ECU connector.

      2. Disconnect the I35 mirror connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        I32-17 (LP) - I35-18 (MLP) Always Below 1 Ω
        I32-17 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU

      2. Disconnect the I34 mirror connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        I18-37 (LP) - I34-18 (MLP) Always Below 1 Ω
        I18-37 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for RHD:


      1. Disconnect the I32 ECU connector.

      2. Disconnect the I33 mirror connector.

      3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
