DESCRIPTION

The headlight swivel motor (leveling portion) receives a signal from the AFS ECU to operate. The AFS ECU receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight swivel motor (leveling portion).

  • Headlight unit LH

When either condition below is met:


  • Malfunction in the headlight swivel motor RH (leveling portion).

  • Open or short in the headlight swivel motor RH (leveling portion) circuit.

  • AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU)

  • Headlight swivel motor RH (leveling portion)

  • Harness or connector

  • Harness unit RH

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

      DTC B2417 or B2418 output does not occur.

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR) Click here

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test Click here.

    1. Disconnect the E91 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Disconnect the E91 ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A40*1 or A46*2 light connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
