DESCRIPTION

The No. 2 main body ECU receives the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch signals from the lower tail gate lock RH and detects the open/closed status of the lower tail gate. DTC B225B is stored when the ECU receives a half-latch switch, pawl switch or lower tail gate courtesy switch malfunction signal from the lower tail gate lock RH.

  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HALF-LATCH SWITCH, POLE SWITCH AND COURTESY SWITCH)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

    5. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

  3. INSPECT LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Remove the lower tail gate lock RH Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the f2 lock connector.

    2. Disconnect the L33 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
