  1. INSPECT AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR


    1. A01EQOWE03

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F9-6 (CLTB) - F9-3 (CLTE) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F9-3 (CLTE) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the F9 sensor connector.

    4. A01EQAWE01

      Check the waveform of the F9 sensor connector.

      Tester Connection Tool Setting Switch Condition Specified Condition
      F9-3 (CLTE) - F9-5 (CLTS) 5 V/DIV., 5 msec./ DIV. Engine switch on (IG), headlight dimmer switch on AUTO Correct waveform is as shown

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the sensor.

      Tech Tips

      If the ambient light becomes brighter, width A becomes narrower.
