AIR SWITCHING VALVE (for Bank 2) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH


    1. Remove the 7 clips and engine room side cover RH.

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *4 Bracket

      Raise the front of the V-bank cover to detach the 3 pins. Then remove the 2 V-bank cover hooks from the bracket, and remove the V-bank cover.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE


    1. A01ERFI

      Disconnect the No. 2 PCV hose and No. 1 air hose.

    2. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector and detach the clamp.

    3. Detach the 4 clamps.

    4. Loosen the hose clamp and remove the air cleaner cap and hose.

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 3 PCV HOSE


    1. A01EOKD

      Disconnect the No. 3 PCV hose.

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE


    1. A01EPNG

      Disconnect the No. 1 air injection system hose.

  6. REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EOBV

      Detach the wire harness clamp and disconnect the air switching valve connector.

    2. A01EPV4

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. A01ER91

      Remove the 3 bolts, air switching valve and gasket.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the surfaces that contact the gasket.
