AIR PUMP INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL AIR PUMP

      Install the 3 insulators to the air pump.

    2. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps to the air pump bracket.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

      Install the No. 1 air injection system hose to the air pump assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Push the No. 1 air injection system hose onto the air pump assembly until it contacts the protrusion as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL AIR PUMP INLET

      Install the air pump inlet to the No. 1 air injection system hose.

      Tech Tips

      Insert the air pump inlet until its stopper contacts the No. 1 air injection system hose as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 2 bolts and tighten them in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Attach the claw of the air pump bracket to the elongated hole in the body to position the air pump bracket.

    2. Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts and tighten them in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

      Connect the wire harness to the clamp at the location shown in the illustration.

    4. Attach the connector clamp to the bracket.

    5. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

    1. Inside front fender RH:


      1. Connect the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air pump assembly at the location shown in the illustration.

        Tech Tips

        Align the paint mark of the No. 3 air injection system hose with the protrusion of the air pump assembly.

      2. Attach clamp A to the air pump bracket.

    2. Inside engine room:


      1. Connect the No. 3 air injection system hose to the air tube at the location shown in the illustration.

      2. Align the bottom edge of the protector of the No. 3 air injection system hose with clamp B and attach the clamp.

  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER AND HOSE


    1. Install the air cleaner and hose with the 3 bolts, and then tighten the hose clamp.

      Torque:
      for bolt
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }
      for hose clamp
      2.5 N*m  { 25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf }

    2. Attach the clamp and connect the mass air flow meter connector.

    3. Connect the No. 2 PCV hose and No. 1 air hose.

  7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH


    1. Install the fender liner with the 5 clips.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket, install the 3 screws.

    3. Connect the liner to the front bumper cover with the screw.

  8. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A


    1. Install the front fender apron trim packing A with the 3 clips.

  9. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Push in the clip indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install the fender splash shield.

    2. Install the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

  10. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Install the upper radiator support seal with the 3 clips.

  11. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH


    1. Install the engine room side cover RH with the 7 clips.

  12. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH


    1. Install the engine room side cover LH with the 7 clips.
