SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH (+)

    (Transmission Shift Switch Assembly RH (+))

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      SUP - ECC "+" shift paddle operated and held (up-shift) Below 2.5 Ω
      SUP - ECC "+" shift paddle not operated (up-shift) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the transmission shift switch assembly RH (+).

  2. INSPECT TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH (-)

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      2 (SUP) - 7 (ECC) "+" shift paddle operated and held (up-shift) Below 2.5 Ω
      3 (SDN) - 7 (ECC) "-" shift paddle operated and held (down-shift) Below 2.5 Ω
      2 (SUP) - 7 (ECC) "+" shift paddle not operated (up-shift) 1 MΩ or higher
      3 (SDN) - 7 (ECC) "-" shift paddle not operated (down-shift) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the transmission shift switch assembly LH (-).

  3. INSPECT NO. 1 SWITCH WIRE

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      6 (SUP) - 7 (ECC) "+" shift paddle operated and held (up-shift) Below 2.5 Ω
      12 (SDN) - 7 (ECC) "-" shift paddle operated and held (down-shift) Below 2.5 Ω
      6 (SUP) - 7 (ECC) "+" shift paddle not operated (up-shift) 1 MΩ or higher
      12 (SDN) - 7 (ECC) "-" shift paddle not operated (down-shift) 1 MΩ or higher

      If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the No. 1 switch wire.
