BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR CENTER GARNISH

      Using a moulding remover C, disengage the 6 clips and 4 claws, and remove the back door center garnish.

  2. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH LH (w/o Power Back Door)

      Disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the rear window side garnish LH.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR NO. 2 SERVICE HOLE COVER (w/ Power Back Door)

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove the back door No. 2 service hole cover.

  4. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH LH (w/ Power Back Door)

      Disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the rear window side garnish LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR WINDOW SIDE GARNISH RH


    1. A01CC6DE01

      Disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the rear window side garnish RH.

  6. REMOVE BACK DOOR INSIDE HANDLE

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws as shown in the illustration and remove the back door inside handle.

  7. REMOVE SWITCH BEZEL (w/ Power Back Door)

      Disengage the 6 claws and remove the switch bezel.

  8. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY

      Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips <A>.

    2. Disengage the 17 clips and remove the back door trim board assembly.

      Note

      w/ Power Back Door:

      To prevent the parts from being damaged, make sure that the back door trim board assembly does not get caught on the power back door closer switch assembly during removal.

  9. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Power Back Door)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 6 bolts.

    3. Disengage the 2 clips to remove the power back door touch sensor assembly.

  10. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Power Back Door)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  11. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (for ALPHARD)


    1. A01CEOL

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts.

    3. A01CE95

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the guide and remove the rear light assembly.

    4. A01CEN7

      Remove the clip from the body.

  12. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH WITH COVER (for VELLFIRE)


    1. A01CBLK

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts.

    3. A01CEPV

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the guide and remove the rear light assembly with cover.

    4. A01CEN7

      Remove the clip from the body.

  13. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH (for ALPHARD)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH WITH COVER (for VELLFIRE)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  15. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEIGHT


    1. A01CCYG

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the back door weight.

  16. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A01CAJR

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and back door opener switch.

  17. REMOVE REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Monitor)


    1. A01CC7D

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. A01CBIK

      Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the rear television camera assembly.

  18. REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    2. A01CEIQ

      Disconnect the connector and remove the 2 nuts.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

    3. A01CEUQ

      Disengage the 11 clips and remove the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the 9 clips (luggage compartment door moulding clip) and 2 clips (back door outside garnish clip) from the buck door outside garnish sub-assembly.
