LIGHTING SYSTEM LVL Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• By connecting terminals LVL and CG of the DLC3, the zero point of the height control sensor is set in the AFS ECU or headlight beam leveling ECU assembly.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. 

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G8-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

2. CHECK VEHICLE CONDITION

   Result
   Condition Proceed to without AFS A with AFS B

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the A34 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A34-5 (PRST) - G8-8 (LVL) Always Below 1 Ω A34-5 (PRST) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher G8-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

   PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Click here

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - AFS ECU)

   
   

   1. 

      Disconnect the A23 AFS ECU connector.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A23-7 (INIT) - G8-8 (LVL) Always Below 1 Ω A23-7 (INIT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
