The AFS ECU receives signals indicating the height of the vehicle from the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC

      DTC B2416 is not output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AFS ECU - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)

      Disconnect the A23 AFS ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the N7 height control sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A23-18 (B) - N7-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-19 (SHRL) - N7-2 (SHRR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-21 (SGF) - N7-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-18 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-19 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-21 (SGF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01CECVE01

      Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.

    2. Remove the height control sensor.

    3. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3(SHB) and a negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal 1 (SHG).

    4. Measure the voltage between terminals 2 (SHRR) and 1 (SHG) while slowly moving the link up and down.
