  1. CHECK WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY

    A01CDLIE05

    1. Disconnect the G12 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
G12-4 (W) - Body ground W - Body ground Front washer switch circuit Front washer switch on Below 1 Ω
Front washer switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      G12-6 (VR2) - G12-7 (VR1) W - G Adjusting volume circuit Windshield wiper switch adjusting ring changed from (+) side to (-) side 0 to 2.7 kΩ
G12-12 (IG) - Body ground V - Body ground Power source circuit Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
Engine switch off Below 1 V
G12-23 (WIG) - Body ground B - Body ground Power source circuit Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
Engine switch off Below 1 V
      G12-26 (E) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the G12 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
