OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY

REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR

1. Remove the gasket

   
   
   1. 

      Cut the wire harness at the position shown in the illustration.

   2. Remove the tape.

   3. 

      Disengage the 10 guides and remove the gasket.

      Tip:

      Make sure to replace the gasket with a new one.

2. Remove the lower mirror cover

   
   

   1. Set the mirror to the retracted position.

   2. 

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 4 claws and remove the lower mirror cover.

3. Remove the base

   
   
   1. 

      Disengage the wire harness, and Using "TORX" socket wrench T25, remove the 3 screws.

      Note:

      Make sure to replace the "TORX" screws with new ones.

4. Remove the base plate

   
   
   1. 

      Using "TORX" socket wrench T25, remove the screw.

   2. Disengage the clamp and guide and remove the base plate.

5. Remove the actuator

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws.

   2. 

      Disengage the clamp.

   3. 

      Disengage the 2 clamps and open the cover.

   4. 

      Disconnect the connector and remove the actuator.

6. Remove the motor and frame sub-assembly

   
   
   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws.

   2. Disengage the claw.

   3. Disengage the guide as shown in the illustration and remove the motor and frame sub-assembly.

7. Remove the wire harness

   
   
   1. 

      Open the cover and disconnect the connector.

   2. 

      Remove the wire harness.
