  1. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. Check the vehicle specification.

  2. CHECK BACK DOOR LOCK FUNCTION


    1. Check if the back door is fully closed by hand.

    OK
  3. INITIALIZE POWER BACK DOOR ECU


    1. Perform the initialization of the back door motor unit (power back door ECU) Click here.

  4. CHECK BACK DOOR CLOSER SYSTEM


    1. Check back door closer system operation.

      OK
      Back door closer system operates normally.

  5. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (POWER BACK DOOR TOUCH SENSOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Back Door / Data List.

    5. Check the Data List to determine if the power back door touch sensor functions properly.

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Body / Back Door / DTC.

    4. Check for DTCs.

  7. INSPECT FUSE (LH ECU-IG, PBD, ECU-B)


    1. Remove the LH ECU-IG and PBD fuses from the driver side junction block assembly.*1

    2. Remove the LH ECU-IG and PBD fuses from the passenger side junction block assembly.*2

    3. Remove the ECU-B fuse from the No. 1 engine room junction block.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

      1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  10. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the back door lock assembly Click here.

    2. Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the door lock motor.
