POWER SLIDE DOOR SYSTEM Slide Door Handle Switch LH Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The inside/outside handles control operation of the power slide door. Pulling either handle transmits a request signal to the power slide door ECU LH, which then commands the power slide door control motor and clutch to open or close the power slide door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HANDLE SWITCH)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body / Rear Left Door / Data List.

    4. Check if the door lock is functioning properly.

      ON: Slide door inside handle pulled to closing side or outside handle pulled

      OFF: Slide door inside/outside handle not pulled

      The intelligent tester should display as shown in the table according to handle operation.

  2. INSPECT SLIDE DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL ASSEMBLY LH (SLIDE DOOR HANDLE SWITCH LH)


    1. Remove the slide door lock remote control assembly LH (slide door handle switch LH) Click here.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L8-1 (DS1) - L8-3 (GND) Slide door inside handle pulled to closing side or outside handle pulled Below 1 Ω
      L8-1 (DS1) - L8-3 (GND) Slide door inside/outside handle not pulled 10 kΩ or higher
      L8-2 (DS2) - L8-3 (GND) Slide door inside handle pulled to opening side or outside handle pulled Below 1 Ω
      L8-2 (DS2) - L8-3 (GND) Slide door inside/outside handle not pulled 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK NO. 2 REAR DOOR WIRE (HANDLE SWITCH LH - ECU LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L5 power slide door ECU LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      L8-2 (DS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
