SLIDING ROOF HOUSING REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the roof headlining assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Check that the engine switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disconnect the 2 curtain shield airbag connectors.

      Note

      When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    4. Disengage the 2 wire harness clamps.

    5. Remove the 12 bolts.

    6. Disengage the 12 hooks to remove the curtain shield airbag assembly.

  3. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  4. REMOVE TELEVISION BRACKET (for RH Side)

      Remove the 2 screws and nut.

    2. Disengage the guide and remove the television bracket.

  5. REMOVE TELEVISION BRACKET (for LH Side)

      Disengage the clamp.

    2. A01CG4Q

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Disengage the guide and remove the television bracket.

  6. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH


    1. A01CEY2

      Disengage the claw and remove the sliding roof side garnish RH from the groove of the sliding roof housing rail.

  7. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  8. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GUIDE RAIL COVER RH

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    2. A01CFFO

      Slide the guide and remove the sliding roof guide rail cover RH as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GUIDE RAIL COVER LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 screws and rear sliding roof glass sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 SLIDING ROOF HOUSING BRACKET (for RH Side)


    1. A01CAVD

      Remove the 3 bolts and No. 1 sliding roof housing bracket.

  12. REMOVE NO. 1 SLIDING ROOF HOUSING BRACKET (for LH Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  13. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp and disconnect the sliding roof drive gear connector.

    2. Disconnect the 2 sliding roof drain hoses.

    3. Remove the 7 nuts and the sliding roof housing sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF WEATHERSTRIP

      Remove the sliding roof weatherstrip from the sliding roof glass sub-assembly.
