WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The windshield deicer system thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the windshield to help deice the window surface more quickly. The indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    DEICER Relay Receives front deicer activation request signals from the front wiper deicer switch and supplies power to the windshield glass.
    Front Wiper Deicer Switch Sends signals to the DEICER relay to operate the deicer.
    Windshield Glass (Windshield Deicer Wire) Receives power from the DEICER relay and heats the windshield glass (windshield deicer wire).
