POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM All Power Window Up Functions do not Operate with Entry Lock Switch

DESCRIPTION

When an entry lock switch is pressed and held for approximately 3 seconds: 1) the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) receives a switch signal, 2) the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) transmits a signal to all the power window regulator motor by multiplex communication, and 3) all the power window motors are operated to close the windows.

Tech Tips

This function is set through the customize function, as it is off by default.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

The power window control system uses a multiplex communication system (LIN communication system). Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting Click here. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

  1. CHECK BASIC FUNCTION (SMART ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Entry Function))


    1. Check that the entry lock switch operates normally Click here.

      OK
      Entry lock switch operates normally.

    GO TO SMART ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Entry Function) (Proceed to Problem Symptoms Table for Each Door) Click here

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP / DOWN FUNCTION


    1. Check that the manual up/down function using the multiplex network master switch assembly and power window regulator switch assembly can operate all the power windows Click here.

      OK
      Manual up/down function is normal.

  3. CHECK REMOTE UP / DOWN FUNCTION


    1. Check that the remote up/down function using the multiplex network master switch assembly operates the power windows Click here.
