POWER WINDOW CONTROL SYSTEM Remote Up / Down Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is on (IG) and the window lock switch is off, the multiplex network master switch assembly sends remote up/down signals to each power window regulator motor assembly via the LIN communication line.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

The power window control system uses a multiplex communication system (LIN communication system). Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting Click here. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)

      Turn the window lock switch off and operate the switches on the multiplex network master switch assembly. Check that the remote up/down function operates Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (Main Body)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.
