ION GENERATOR SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ION GENERATOR SWITCH (AIR PURIFIER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. A01CB1EE06

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (E) - 6 (ECU) Ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly) on Below 1 Ω
      3 (E) - 6 (ECU) Ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly) off 10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly).

    2. Check that the switch illuminates.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly) and check that the switch illuminates.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly).

    3. Check switch indicator operation.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly) and check that the switch indicator illuminates.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (IND+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 7 (IND-)

        		 Indicator Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the ion generator switch (air purifier switch assembly).
