AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Blower Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The blower motor is operated by signals from the A/C amplifier. Blower motor speed signals are transmitted in accordance with changes in the duty ratio.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Air Conditioner / Active Test.

    5. Check the operation by referring to the table below.

  2. INSPECT FUSE (HTR)


    1. Remove the HTR fuse from the fusible link block.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      HTR fuse Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLOWER MOTOR - BODY GROUND)


    1. A01CGF1E03

      Disconnect the blower motor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G30-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLOWER MOTOR - BATTERY)

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      G30-3 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLOWER MOTOR - A/C AMPLIFIER)

      Disconnect the A/C amplifier connector.

    2. A01CGF1E05

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G33-23 (BLW) - G30-2 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      G33-23 (BLW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. INSPECT BLOWER MOTOR


    1. Reconnect the blower motor connector.

    2. A01CFVOE46

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G33-23 (BLW) - Body ground Always 4.5 to 5.5 V

  7. INSPECT A/C AMPLIFIER


    1. A01CF4YE09

      Remove the A/C amplifier.

    2. Reconnect the A/C amplifier connector.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) .

    4. Turn the blower switch on (LO).

    5. Measure the waveform between terminal G33-23 (BLW) of the A/C amplifier and body ground.
