REAR CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH

    (Rear Power Seat Switch)


    1. Check the rear power seat switch.


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        2 - 22 Reading light ON/OFF switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        3 - 22 Reading light dimmer switch (+) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        4 - 22 Reading light dimmer switch (-) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        5 - 22 Ottoman switch (up) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        6 - 22 Ottoman switch (store) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        7 - 22 Reclining switch (forward) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        8 - 22 Reclining switch (backward) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        9 - 10

        Heated and ventilated seat main switch set to low volume

        (blower position)

        350 Ω
        9 - 11 Always 5.1 kΩ
        13 - 22 Heated and ventilated seat main switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        14 - 22 SET switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        15 - 22 M1 switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        16 - 22 M2 switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω
        17 - 22 Return switch pressed and held Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch.

    2. Check operation of the rear power seat switch indicator and illumination.


      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the switch as shown in the table below.

        OK
        Connection Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 12

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 22

        Illumination comes on

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 18

        Indicator comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch.
