CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM Climate Control System does not Operate on Rear Right Side

DESCRIPTION

The rear seat climate control ECU RH receives rear power seat switch position signals when the engine switch is on (IG), and then transmits airflow amount signals to each seat climate blower.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH - REAR SEAT BACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH)


    1. Disconnect the X3 rear seat climate control blower RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the P3 rear seat back climate control blower RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X3-3 (IGB) - P3-1 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω
      X3-3 (IGB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X3-4 (VS) - P3-2 (VS) Always Below 1 Ω
      X3-4 (VS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X3-2 (GND2) - P3-3 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      X3-2 (GND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the X7 rear seat climate control ECU RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      X7-13 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      X7-12 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  8. CHECK REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH


    1. Reconnect the X7 rear seat climate control ECU RH connector.

    2. Reconnect the X3 rear seat climate control blower RH connector.

    3. Check the input signal waveform.


      1. Connect an oscilloscope to terminal 24 and body ground with the rear seat climate control blower RH connector still connected.

      2. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.

        Terminal No. X7-24 (BLWM) - Body ground
        Tool Setting 1 V/DIV., 1ms./DIV.
