DESCRIPTION

The rear seat climate control ECU LH receives rear power seat switch position signals when the engine switch is on (IG), and then transmits airflow amount signals to each seat climate blower.

    CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM


    1. Check the climate control seat operation again (Click here).

  2. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH - REAR SEAT BACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH)


    1. Disconnect the Y3 rear seat climate control blower LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q2 rear seat back climate control blower LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y3-3 (IGB) - Q2-1 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y3-3 (IGB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y3-4 (VS) - Q2-2 (VS) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y3-4 (VS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y3-2 (GND2) - Q2-3 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y3-2 (GND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE REAR SEAT BACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH


    1. Replace the rear seat back climate control blower LH (Click here).

    CHECK CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM


    1. Check the climate control seat operation (Click here).

      The climate control seat operates normally.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the Y7 rear seat climate control ECU LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y7-13 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      Y7-12 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Y7-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the Y3 rear seat climate control blower LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Y3-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Y7-24 (BLWM) - Y3-5 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y7-24 (BLWM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH


    1. Reconnect the Y7 rear seat climate control ECU LH connector.

    2. A01CFUQE01

      Reconnect the Y3 rear seat climate control blower LH connector.

    3. Check the input signal waveform.


      1. Connect an oscilloscope to terminal 24 and body ground with the rear seat climate control blower LH connector still connected.

      2. Check the signal waveform according to the condition(s) in the table below.

        Terminal No. Y7-24 (BLWM) - Body ground
        Tool Setting 1 V/DIV., 1ms./DIV.

      Y6-13 (LHTR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Y6-9 (LVS5) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y6-11 (LVSG) - Y7-20 (HSWG) Always Below 1 Ω

    1. Disconnect the Y8 and Y9 position control ECU assembly (for rear left seat) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Y6-22 (LGND) - Y9-17 (SSWE) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y6-22 (LGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
