  1. REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU LH

    1. Disconnect the Y7 rear seat climate control ECU LH connector.

      A01CBNOE01
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Terminal Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      Y7-13 (+B) - Body ground R - Body ground Battery power supply Always 11 to 14 V
Y7-12 (IG) - Body ground P - Body ground Ignition power supply (IG signal) Engine switch on (IG) → off 11 to 14 V → Below 1 V
      Y7-3 (GND) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω
Y7-7 (HSWM) - Body ground LG - Body ground Heated and ventilated seat main switch signal Heated and ventilated seat main switch off → on 10 kΩ or higher → Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the Y7 rear seat climate control ECU LH connector.

    4. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Terminal Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
Y7-18 (HSWS) - Y7-3 (GND) L - W-B Heated and ventilated seat main switch volume signal Heated and ventilated seat main switch on and set to low to high volume (blower position) 0 to 5 V
Y7-19 (HSW5) - Body ground G - Body ground Heated and ventilated seat main switch output Always 5 V
Y7-24 (BLWM) - Body ground G - Body ground Climate control blower control signal
      • Engine switch on (IG)

      • Heated and ventilated seat main switch on and set to low volume (blower position)

      Pulse generation

      (See waveform)

      1. A01CCBKE01

        Waveform (Reference): Using an oscilloscope:

Tester Connection Y7-24 (BLWM) - Body ground
        Tool Setting 1 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV.
        Vehicle Condition
        • Engine switch on (IG)

        • Heated and ventilated seat main switch on and set to low volume (blower position)

If the result is not as specified, the rear seat climate control ECU LH may have a malfunction.

  2. REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU RH

    1. Disconnect the X7 rear seat climate control ECU RH connector.
