FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (for Driver Side) Power Seat Power Easy Access System Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the engine switch is off or the shift lever is in P, the power seat slides rearward when the seat belt tongue plate is disengaged from the front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) (auto away function). Also the power seat slides forward when the seat belt tongue plate is engaged to the front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) with the engine switch on (ACC) or on (IG), or the shift lever in P.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally Click here.

      OK
      CAN communication DTC is not output.

  2. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION


    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the position control ECU and switch assembly Click here.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / D-Seat / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

  4. REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Remove the front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY - FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER))


    1. Disconnect the W17*1, V16*2 connector from the position control ECU and switch assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD
