  1. INSPECT INTERIOR LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION

    Note:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting.

    Tip:

    The interior light control illuminates the lights below.


    • Personal light LH

    • Personal light RH

    • Center room light LH

    • Center room light RH

    • Engine switch illumination


    1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When any of the following conditions is met, the personal light LH, personal light RH, center room light LH, center room light RH and engine switch illumination illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out.


      • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed.

      • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed and locked.

      • The engine switch is turned from on (ACC) to off when all doors are closed.

      • All doors are closed when any door is open and the engine switch is off.

      Fade out immediately

      When either of the following conditions is met, the personal light LH, personal light RH, room light LH, room light RH and engine switch illumination fade out immediately.


      • The engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC) when all doors are closed.

      • All doors are locked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

  2. INSPECT FOOTWELL LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION

    Note:

    Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting.

    Tip:

    The footwell light control illuminates the lights below.


    • Footwell light LH

    • Footwell light RH


    1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Fade in and illuminate constantly

      When either of the following conditions is met, the footwell light LH and footwell light RH fade in.


      • Any door is opened when all doors are closed.

      • The engine switch is turned from off to on (IG)*1.

      Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When any of the following conditions is met, the footwell light LH and foot light RH illuminate for 15 seconds and then fade out.


      • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and all doors are locked.

      • The engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off when all doors are closed.

      • All doors are closed when any door is opened and the engine switch is off.

      Fade out immediately All doors are locked when the engine switch is off, all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
      Tip:

      *1: If the shift lever is not in P, the footwell light LH and footwell light RH illuminate in light adjustment state (3.7% brightness of light on state). If the shift lever is in P, the footwell light LH and footwell light RH illuminate in 100% brightness of light on state.

  3. INSPECT CEILING LIGHT CONTROL OPERATION

    Tip:

    The ceiling light control illuminates the lights below.


    • Ceiling light LH

    • Ceiling light RH


    1. Illuminated entry system-linked

      Note:

      Perform this inspection with the customize parameter at the initial setting.


      1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all doors are closed.
        Illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

        When any of the following conditions is met, the ceiling light LH and ceiling light RH illuminate for 15 seconds and then fade out.


        • The key enters any actuation area around the doors when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed.

        • Any door is unlocked when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed and locked.

        • The engine switch is turned from on (IG) to off when all doors are closed.

        • All doors are closed when any door is open and the engine switch is off.

        Fade out immediately

        When either of the following conditions is met, the personal light, room light LH, room light RH and engine switch illumination fade out immediately.


        • The engine switch is turned from off to on (IG) when all doors are closed.

        • All doors are locked when the engine switch is off and all doors are closed and any door is unlocked.

    2. Ceiling light switch-linked


      1. The operation and condition of this control are described below.

        Operation Condition
        Fade in

        When either of the following conditions is met, the ceiling light LH and ceiling light RH fade in.


        • Front ceiling light switch is pushed.

        • Rear ceiling light switch is pushed.

        Fade out

        When either of the following conditions is met, the ceiling light LH and ceiling light RH fade out.


        • Front ceiling light switch is pushed.

        • Rear ceiling light switch is kept pushed for 2 seconds or more.

        Dimmer When the ceiling light LH and RH are on, and the rear ceiling light switch is pushed, the ceiling light LH and ceiling light RH dim (32.7% brightness of light on state). When the rear ceiling light switch is pushed again, the lights dim furthermore (11% brightness of light on state). When the rear ceiling light switch is pushed again, the lights dim furthermore (3.7% brightness of light on state). When the rear ceiling light switch is pushed again, the lights fade out.
  4. INSPECT READING LIGHT (SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY) CONTROL OPERATION

    Tip:
    • The reading light control illuminates the lights below.


      • Reading light LH (spot light assembly LH)

      • Reading light RH (spot light assembly RH)

      The reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) and reading light RH (spot light assembly RH) can each be controlled using the respective control switches installed on the left and right 2nd row seats.

    • The following procedure is for the LH side. Use the same procedure for the LH and RH sides.


    1. With the engine switch off and the reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) off, check that the light turns on when the reading light ON/OFF switch is pushed.

    2. With the engine switch off and the reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) on, check that the light level changes according to the reading light dimmer switch (+) or reading light dimmer switch (-) operation.

      Tip:

      Reading light (spot light assembly) illumination can be adjusted to 4 different levels.

    3. With the engine switch off and the reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) on, check that the light turns off when the reading light ON/OFF switch is pushed.

    4. With the reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) off, operate the reading light ON/OFF switch and check that the light turns on at the same light level as before it was turned off.

      Tip:

      When a reading light (spot light assembly) is turned off and turned on again, the memory function operates to turn on the light at the same light level as it was turned off.

    5. With the engine switch on (IG) and the reading light LH (spot light assembly LH) on, check that the light turns off automatically when approximately 20 minutes have elapsed after the engine switch was turned off.

      Tip:

      When either of the following conditions is met with a reading light (spot light assembly) on, the automatic turn off function will be canceled:


      • The engine switch is turned on (IG).

      • The reading light ON/OFF switch is pushed.

  5. INSPECT BATTERY SAVER


    1. Interior light (personal light LH, personal light RH, center room light LH, center room light RH and engine switch illumination)


      1. With the engine switch off, the key not in the actuation area, and the vehicle condition not changing, check that the lights illuminated by the interior light control remain illuminated for approximately 20 minutes, and then turn off.

        Tip:

        When the light control operation conditions are met, the battery saver control is canceled.

    2. Footwell light


      1. With the engine switch off, the key not in the actuation area, and the vehicle condition not changing, check that the lights illuminated by the footwell light control remain illuminated for approximately 20 minutes, and then turn off.

        Tip:

        When the light control operation conditions are met, the battery saver control is canceled.

    3. Ceiling light


      1. With the engine switch off, the key not in the actuation area, and the vehicle condition not changing, check that the lights illuminated by the ceiling light control remain illuminated for approximately 20 minutes, and then turn off.

        Tip:

        When the light control operation conditions are met, the battery saver control is canceled.
