ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The security indicator light blinks continuously due to a continuous signal received from the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) while the engine immobiliser is set.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Entry & Start / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the intelligent tester.

      The security indicator light turns on and off according to the intelligent tester operation.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. A01CCHBE02

      Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G20-2 (IND) - G19-6 (LP) Always Below 1 Ω
      G20-2 (IND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
