SMART ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function), Diagnostic DTC:B2272

DTC Code DTC Name
B2272 Ignition 1 Monitor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is a problem in the IG1 output circuit. The IG1 circuit is the circuit that goes from inside the main body ECU to the RH-IG1, LH-IG1 or LH-IG2 relay.

Tech Tips

When the main body ECU is replaced with a new one and the negative (-) battery terminal is connected, the power source mode becomes IG-ON mode. When the battery is removed and reinstalled, the power source mode that was selected when the battery was removed is restored.

DTC No. DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
B2272 The IG1 relay actuation circuit inside the main body ECU or other related circuit is malfunctioning.
  • Driver side junction block assembly (for RHD)

  • Passenger side junction block assembly (for LHD)

  • Main body ECU

  • Wire harness or connector
