POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM All Doors LOCK/UNLOCK Functions do not Operate Via Master Switch, Driver Side Door Key Cylinder

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU receives switch signals from the door control switches and driver door key cylinder, and activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

The power window control system uses a multiplex communication system (LIN communication system). Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting Click here. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT FUSE (DR LOCK)


    1. Remove the DR LOCK fuse from the passenger side junction block assembly*1 or driver side junction block assembly*2.


      • *1: for RHD

      • *2: for LHD

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

  2. CHECK DOOR LOCK OPERATION (ALL DOORS LOCK / UNLOCK)


    1. All doors can be locked/unlocked at the same time using the following:


      • Door control switch on the driver side (switch operation)

      • Door key cylinder linked with door lock on the driver side (key operation)

    2. Proceed to the next step according to symptom if all the doors cannot be locked/unlocked at the same time.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DOOR CONTROL SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE))


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Master Switch / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the intelligent tester.
